Scenic Gondola Rides

The Gondola will open for the weekend Friday, June 9-Sunday, June 11, 2006. Daily operations will begin Friday, June 16 and run through Sunday, August 27, 2006. Labor Day Weekend operations will be Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4, 2006. After Labor Day Weekend the Gondola will be open weekends only, on Saturday and Sunday, through September 24, 2006. The hours of operation are uphill 10:00am-4:00pm with the last download at 4:30pm. Sundays will open at 9:30am. Gondola tickets are valid all day, weather permitting. Tickets are available at the Main Ticket Office or at Ride Sports, both open from 9:00am-5:00pm.

Brunch On The Mountain
Every Sunday from June 11, 2006 through September 3, 2006. Brunch is served from 9:30am-1:00pm, featuring our spectacular New Orleans' inspired buffet prepared by our Hazie's Chefs.

Lunch On The Mountain At Hazie's
Enjoy lunch at Hazie's June 24-August 26, 2006, at the top of the Steamboat Gondola on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30am-2:30pm. Featuring Hazie's fine dining cuisine with the best views in the valley. A la carte menu including sandwiches, salads, and bar available with Cajun style Bloody Marys!

Hazie's Saturday Night Dinner On The Mountain
Enjoy a 3 course dinner at Hazie's, at the top of the Gondola on Saturday evenings. Featuring Hazie's fine dining cuisine with the best views in the valley. Begins June 24 and runs through September 2, 2006. Seatings for Hazie's Saturday Evening Dinner are every 15 minutes from 7:00pm-8:00pm. Youth menu available (5 and under).

Hazie's Sunset Martini Bar
Join us for a beautiful sunset and view of the valley while enjoying your favorite cocktail/Martini and appetizers. Saturday's at 7:00pm beginning June 24, 2006. The cost, $12.00 per person, includes a Gondola ride and your first adult beverage! This activity is for adults only (21+).

Cooking Classes at Hazie's
Each session will include hands-on participation led by one of our extraordinary Chefs. The group will sit down and enjoy the fabulous preparations after the lesson. Cost is $75.00, gratuity not included.

Oasis Sundeck Bar & Grill
Our newest addition to the top of the Gondola, where you can kick back and savor the flavor of the islands at 9,000 feet above sea level. Ya Mon! Check us out at the Oasis Bar & Grill on the 3rd Floor Sundeck, open daily from 10:45am-4:00pm. The grill is open daily from 11:30am-2:30pm. Kick back on our beach chairs while you sip a cool refreshing Island libation or ice cold bottled and draft beer and Sobe flavored specialty cocktails!

Gondola Joe's
Starbucks coffee, snacks, and sandwiches at Gondola Joe's, located at the base of the mountain. Freshly prepared sandwiches, wraps, salads, pastries, and Steamboat's best Yogurt Parfaits! Open daily beginning May 12, 2006 from 8:00am-4:00pm.

Stop by RideSports - our bike shop at the base of the Gondola for bike rentals and all of your biking needs. Ask about renting a Diggler All Mountain Scooter. Also get your disc golf supplies and score cards at RideSports.

The Top Shop
Located at the top of the gondola has Steamboat logo wear and sundries.

Kid's Corner

Kid's Adventure Club
The Kid's Adventure Club operates Monday-Friday, June 12-August 25, 2006, from 9:00am-4:00pm. We will gladly accept children as early as 7:30am and care for them until 5:30pm. Included in the program are various field trips and outdoor activities. Lunch is available for an additional $7.50 or you can provide a bag lunch. The program offers fun adventures and hands on exploration for kids ages 3-12.

Biking

Mountain Biking Trails
Try our 50 miles of biking trails on Mt. Werner! Either ride up or take the gondola and ride down. We rent front and full-suspension bicycles! Or rent a town bike and cruise along the bike path adjacent to the Yampa River. You can rent bikes for a full-day, half-day or by the hour, and helmets are included.

Diggler All-Mountain Scooters
Another great summertime activity! The Diggler is a cross between a mountain bike and snowboard, and they are great fun for the whole family.

Stop by RideSports - our bike shop at the base of the Gondola for bike rentals and all of your biking needs. Ask about renting a Diggler All Mountain Scooter. Also get your disc golf supplies and score cards at RideSports.

Hiking & Nature

Guided Gourmet Hike
Imagine a beautiful alpine hike through forests and wildflower-filled meadows with mountain views for miles and miles. Add to that a gourmet lunch served by your guide and you have the perfect alpine experience!

Thunderhead Hiking Trail
A 3-mile trail between the top of the Gondola and the base of the mountain through aspen, evergreen groves and offers scenic vistas. The vertical gain/loss is 2,180 feet. Bikes are not allowed on this trail.

Vista Nature Trail
The Vista Nature Trail offers a self guided interpretive hike, which is an easy 1-mile loop and takes about 1 hour. The trail is located at the top of the Gondola and is relatively flat, has picnic tables and is great for families. The first half is also handicap accessible. Join a Naturalist from Yampatika on Saturday’s at 11:00am or 1:00pm for a 1 hour guided interpretive hike, June 17-August 26, 2006. Bikes are not allowed on this trail.

The Nature Den
The Nature Den, open daily and located in the inside Lobby at the top of the Gondola, provides an interpretive environmental exhibit and information on the area. Check it out this summer!
