Sleepless in Steamboat � A "Women Only" Event to Learn the Art of R&R

What do forty million women want more of in 2011? SLEEP! Sisters of the world, consider your wish granted. Expect more than one hundred refreshing ideas on how to renew and regenerate during the "Sisters in Steamboat Weekend" to be held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, October 14-16, 2011. The theme of this year's weekend is sleep, rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Calling all sisters: biological or kindred, mothers and daughters, female friends and relatives, business associates, any and all women�related or not, and be treated to an amazing, seventy-two hours of learning about the importance of sleep and relaxation to benefit health. Listen and learn in enrichment workshops ranging from Feng Shui and dream interpretation to more exhilarating and great stress-buster activities like Zumba and nature and historical walking tours all while enjoying beautiful Steamboat Springs in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. MainStreet Steamboat Springs will host the third annual "Sisters in Steamboat Weekend" to benefit the American Heart Association and sleepless women everywhere.

According to the National Sleep Association, forty million women do not get adequate nighttime sleep. The Better Sleep Council suggests an average of seven to eight hours of sleep each night for women, but most adult females in America get less than six. Guest speakers will help participants understand the importance of sleep to overall health, teaching ways to relax and rejuvenate, improve concentration, strengthen immunity, and boost energy.

Cami Bunn, a past Sisters' attendee summarized her appreciation of such a "Women Only" event and quoted Victor Hugo: ""Life's greatest happiness is to be convinced we are loved!" What better way is there to convince ourselves that we are loved than to surround ourselves with our sisters and friends? That's what the "Sisters in Steamboat" weekend is all about, surrounding ourselves with stimulating activities, in a resort environment with friends. It doesn't get much better!"
